We at Hydro Press Industries manufacture filter presses with various kinds of plates and frames. We are among the very few industries to offer round plate filter press. The round plate is made from materials such as Polypropylene (PP), Stainless Steel (SS), Cast Iron (CI) or Phosphor Bronze (PB). These materials make the frame leak-proof. The size of the plates varies, but the standard size is 800mm diameter.

The filtration surfaces in the round plates are made of round cylindrical buttons generally known as Pips. In CI or other metallic plates, it is made of grooves either straight or diamond shaped. In PB plates, the filtration surface is made of circular grooves connected by straight grooves. The plates are zero leakage plate with an O-ring sealing in the plates for special applications. A check ring seals the leakage between the filter plate and filter cloth. Filter plate design to be round double side recessed chamber filter plate type to meet higher filtering pressure. These round plate filter press are used where it has high viscosity, high feeding solid content and high filtering pressure requirement material filtration to get less filter cake moisture content and fulfill less electrical power consumption for the next drying step.

The hand hydraulic closing mechanism shall consist of a hydraulic cylinder and hand operated hydraulic power pack. The operation is similar to the electro hydraulic closing system. The only difference is that instead of motor operated the hydraulic cylinder pressurised manually by a pumping system. This type of mechanism is suitable only for smaller filter presses 470 mm X 470 mm, 610 mm X 610 mm, 800 mm X 800 mm, 1000 mm X 1000 mm with operating pressure up to 7 bar.

It consist of hydraulic cylinder and motor operated power pack. When activated, the cylinder moves forward and the plate pack is completely sealed under 250 bar pressure. This type of mechanism is available from 470 mm X 470 mm, 610 mm X 610 mm, 800 mm X 800 mm, 1000 mm X 1000 mm with various operating pressure ranging from 4 to 24 bar.

Now, if you’re continuous operating temperature is beyond 70 degree centigrade with operating pressure above 4 bar, then normal PP Filter plates may lose its property and soften gradually over a period of usage which results in deformation or bending. In such conditions, standard PP material does not fulfill the requirement and result in failure of filter elements. For this special additives and moulding process are carried out for whereby you can go up to 110 degree cent. Please contact us if you require high temperature filter plates for your application.

Corner-feed design offers efficient cake formation and provides even solids distribution through-out the plate stack. More importantly, eliminating a centre-feed eye allows construction of a stronger plate requiring no supporting stay bosses which hamper thorough cake washing and cake discharge.

With a center-feed filter plate, cake washing is difficult due to wash water "short circuiting" through the open center-feed eye. Corner-feed is the only plate design which assures thorough cake washing integrity.
